Motivation for automation

The customer offers comprehensive machining services to its partners and also has its own products. The investment is made in order to increase competitiveness and technological advancement in combination with solving the shortage of workers that the customer is facing.

Project description.

The subject of implementation was the development and delivery of a system of 4 machining centres, 2 handling robots and 2 camera systems for applied binpicking. The system is designed symmetrically for the possibility of using the system for the production of several different parts at the same time. The system can be used in the following modes - manual machining on the sub-centers, full robotization of the machining process on all centers with two robots or combined production of several products on the system in parallel.

Process description:

Non-oriented semi-finished goods in Mars boxes are weighed into the system input.
A bin-picking camera locates the parts in the transport box and transmits the position information to the industrial robot
The gripped part is centred on the transfer die and fed into the machining centre
According to the set program, the handling of the workpiece continues to other centres
The robot palletizes the final products for output to the transport boxes
The system communicates bilaterally with the overhead ERP system
