Motivation for automation

The customer produces the product in a high cycle time with a requirement for 100% quality. Due to the shortage of workers and the high precision of assembly operations (+- 0.05mm), manual production was unacceptable.

Project description.

The subject of the implementation was the development and supply of equipment for the fully automatic assembly of an assembly consisting of 22 components, including interoperation checks, marking and dosing of lubricants.

Process description:

  1. The parts are poured in sufficient quantity for unmanned operation for a period of at least 4 hours in the pre-loaders
  2. Vibrating feeders and pre-loaders dispense and orient the parts to the stations
  3. Within the stations, pre-assembly and inter-operation control operations, lubricant dosing, crimping, crimping, pressing, marking, measuring, fitting of sealing rings, leakage testing are carried out.
  4. Transfers between sub-stations are carried out using turntables
  5. Parts are classified as OK/NOK
