The customer produces auto glass for a wide range of car manufacturers. For the transport of the glass between the production and the car factory, transport frames with different packaging regulations are used - different types of locking of the glass against movement during transport. Due to the physically demanding work in high tact, the customer proceeded to robotize the process.
The subject of the implementation was the development and delivery of a robotic workplace for automatic unloading of car glass from the production line. The device is designed as a robotic workplace with two robots. One robot handles the handling of the glass and the other scans the transport frames and inserts the spacers between the sub-stock. The equipment includes an automatic interleaving feeder and a centering conveyor.
