Automatic output control of geometric parameters of trapezoidal shafts

The subject of the implementation was the development and delivery of equipment for automatic inspection of trapezoidal shafts with a preloader and a printer of production guides.

Process description:

1. The parts are fed by a plate feeder into the separator for gripping by the robot.
2. The robot manipulates 2 pieces of shafts at a time into the measuring area
3. The robot places a shaft on the measuring system input for inspection and removes the already measured shaft 
4. In the measuring station, the runout parameters, diameters and lengths are measured under rotation (with an accuracy of up to +-0.01mm)
5. The robot inserts the measured shaft into the thread quality inspection station
6. The robot sorts the pieces into OK/NOK pieces
7. OK pieces are loaded onto the output conveyor into the spacers
8. The machine collects data and communicates with the higher-level ERP system and files production guides printed in the machine
