Motivation for automation

During the complaint procedure, the customer discovered that the manual operation created a risk of a non-conforming part. As a corrective measure, the customer chose to add full automation of this operation to the existing production line.

Project description.

The subject of the implementation was the development and integration of equipment for automatic feeding and loading of parts into the mechanical body into the existing line.

Process description:

  1. The fed parts are distributed from the preloader to the conveyor system.
  2. A camera-guided robot grabs the correctly oriented parts - the incorrectly oriented parts are returned to the conveyor infeed by a return conveyor
  3. The robot compensates for angular rotation via the camera and inoizes the part
  4. Presses the part into the mechanical body with a defined force
  5. The supplied equipment was connected to the control system of the existing line
